    • We are expecting our first grandchild in June, 2019 and have always dreamed about doing a cross stitch with the lyrics to the Bob Dylan song, Forever Young. I have found a pattern with this but I am not wild about it. Does anyone know if there are people out there that design cross stitch patterns? I know this is a big ask :)

    • I am looking for an old cross stitch pattern. It was a baby blanket on Anne cloth with window panes with pink trim. Every other pane had a baby chick or bunny. I thought it was Just Cross Stitch but could be wrong.

    • I m embroidering LOTS of kitchen towels, bibs, burp rags , pillow cases etc.....how do I protect the thread from unraveling in the wash if I chose not to knot my thread but rather run the ends thru other stitches. I prefer no knots but worry about unraveling. Thanks in advance!

    • I m considering buying a pattern as a gift to my grandfather, but I m worried that the final product will not be of good quality, and will not exactly portray the bought image. Has anybody tried buying here, and what is your experience? Thanks a lot!

    • I am doing a backstitch alphabet using waste canvas for a baby birth announcement. How do I do the stitch that seems to be contained within one square of the waste canvas? It does not cross other threads. FYI: your Caption Maker is wonderful.

    • I am new to cross stitching. I Would like to ask if it is necessary to soak the floss before starting my project. I did not soak my first project but my second one that I am about to start states to soak the dark colors before starting. Is DMC a better quality floss that does not need soaking?

    • Can anyone share a picture of the "Baby Boy" version of the Creative Moments New Baby Banner, just so I can get an idea of the colors used? I own the "Baby Girl" Design #654 version, and have made several as gifts over the years, but with a new grandson on the way, I'm needing to see what the boy version looks like. Thanks!

    • I have two questions: 1.) I bought pattern I liked and it has following note: "Use two skeins of floss for the cross stitches." What does that mean? I was able to googled pretty much everything else, but still don't understand this one. 2.) Why do I have to separate strands? People I know who stitch don't separate them. Is there much difference in result and what it is?

    • I asked before about a magnetic board to hold cross stitch patterns. I was trying to find one that was bigger than the 8 x 10 inch Loran board. I thought I found one, it was 12 x 18 but it wasn't what I wanted. I had to return it. I was thinking about a magnetic dry erase board. I've seen them 8-1/2 x 11 (the size of a piece of paper) but not sure how they would hold up on the folding stand. Do you think this would be too heavy for the stand? Any other thoughts on what else I could use?

    • I am brand new to cross stitching. Would like to ask if it is necessary to soak the floss before starting my project. I did not soak my very first project but my second one that I am about to start states to soak the dark colors before starting. ( the first kit didn't state this). And, is DMC a better quality floss that does not need soaking? Pretty sure this kit's floss is not DMC.

    • I have a Noah's Ark afghan pattern and all the floss and afghan blanket to sew it on. It is a huge undertaking from the point of size but would be beautiful when done. I have all the supplies to finish this project. Is anyone interested? I would gladly mail this to you! Suzanne

    • Aloha, my mother Judith was an avid cross-stitcher. When she passed away I inherited a bunch of her supplies and patterns. I have been going thru old containers and trying to get rid of stuff that I don't need, and would like to find a way for her supplies to go to someone(s) who would really appreciate it. I wouldn't mind getting some $ for it, but I'm not interested in trying to sell each individual piece on eBay or Etsy or whatever, so I might want to sell it all as one big lot or break it into a few lots. So I'm looking for guidance on the best way to do this. Anyone who is interested in it, or would be so kind as to offer me some pointers on where to sell/move it, would be much appreciated.

    • I like counted cross stitch and I understand the basics on how stitches are formed. But I have a real problem with using the charts. I know how to read them; but even when I count the stitches very carefully, the design on the chart often does not correspond to what ends up on the fabric. I'm always careful to mark the middle of the fabric and move from there; and again, I'm careful about counting stitches as I go. But I run into this problem over and over again, even with simple designs. Can someone please help me? This problem makes it somewhat difficult to enjoy the hobby; and I really, really want to. My grandmother used to do counted cross stitch and she was great at it. For reference, I normally use 14-count Aida cloth.
