    • About 12 or so years ago there was a white rose free cross stitch pattern on Mystic Stitch. I'm looking for a copy of that pattern. Does anyone still have it? Mystic Stitch said their file was archived and not available any longer. I'm desperate!

    • I am brand new to cross stitching. Would like to ask if it is necessary to soak the floss before starting my project. I did not soak my very first project but my second one that I am about to start states to soak the dark colors before starting. ( the first kit didn't state this). And, is DMC a better quality floss that does not need soaking? Pretty sure this kit's floss is not DMC.

    • Hi! I am looking for a very obscure pattern - the photo appeared as a first place winner for a candle screen design in an issue of either Cross Stitch and Country Crafts or Cross Quick (so late 80s-early 90s), but one had to send away for it since it wasn't the winning pattern. It is by Robin Clark and features a Colonial American couple with "1776" over their heads and "One flag, one land, one heart, one hand, one nation evermore" beneath. If you have it to sell, I'd love to buy it from you! I am always looking for Robin's designs and had not recalled this one. Thanks!

    • I'm starting a new cross stitch project and was wondering what is the best way to prepare the fabric for stitching? Also, I like to work with a scroll frame and wonder what is the best one that any of you use? I'm using a Homecrafter's scroll frame but don't quite know how to put the fabric in the split of the dowels. Does anyone know how to do this?

    • Longtime cross stitcher, but always on Aida. Attempting baby sampler for first grandchild and was talked into 28 count linen. I'm all set to start and have practiced the stitch enough, BUT here's my question. If I am stitching over two threads (which I get)...when I look at my chart to start and I need to go down 4 squares (on chart) is it down 4 squares on fabric or 8? If there is one square between design on chart, do I leave one little square or double it to 2? So confused! Thanks for the help if you even understand the question!

    • Hello. I am in love with your caption maker and use it all the time. I have one concern though, that you don't include symbols, like @ # % & etc. is there a possibility that this could be done ? I would really appreciate it and it would make my life a lot easier. Regards Helga

    • I want to cross-stitch stockings for my 2 children (now 23 and 20). I have the patterns from my Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazines which I have saved all these years - LOL. My question is one of the patterns says to use a 14" X 20" Lugana 25 ct. fabric and states "not recommended for Aida fabric". I wanted to use 14 ct. Aida. I've never used the Lugana fabric. Can anyone provide me with info on why it wouldn't be wise to use Aida Fabric? and why Lugana would be better. Appreciate any info. Thank you!

    • Hi! I bought 3 Cross Stitch Collectibles fingertip towels at a thrift store recently--you know, the ones with the 14 count border. They are brand new with tags. I used these years ago, but I can't remember if they should be washed before or after crossstitching the border. They are so stiff. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    • I do counted cross stitch for hire. Do you have a project that you started and never finished or never started at all and would love to have it completed? I have been stitching for over 30 years and would love to help you out. I was a Ghoststitcher for a while until the company went out of business. I can do most anything and have pictures of past work and references. If you are interested, you can email me at sppuff@sbcglobal.net. I would love to hear from you.

    • Any suggestions where to find counted cross-stitch patterns of famous artists? I used to order from Uncharted Territory but that site is no longer available. I find that the patterns from Cross Stitch Collectibles do not adapt to pillow-size in 16-count. Plus, I just completed a HUGE one from them and the finished colors in no way relate to the original painting. Any suggestions as to a site similar to Uncharted Territory?

    • Need help with caption maker. It is a rather long verse a friend originally had it charted by a company which sent her the chart from crosstitch.com. The notes from the person who did the chart indicates 160 tall x 130 wide and to cut fabric 18"tall and 16" wide. They used Font #3 and 14 count fabric. How do I find the center to start stitching the design? Also, when I charted it on caption maker I used 14 and also 16 count fabric. It comes out as four pages, which I believe means I need to cut and paste the word endings for the various lines. Also, it cuts into the middle of a line so the top and bottom of one line are on two different pieces of the chart. So I will need to match that up as well The 16 count version left off a line at the end even thought it shows on the copy. Thank you for your consideration. I can send you the two charts if that would help.

    • I have over 20 counted cross-stitch patterns that I have completed and would like to provide to anyone...free except for postage. They range from Christmas Stockings to Matisse. Van Gogh, Renoir, Waterhouse. All are complete charts/color, symbol keys and in excellent condition. I only ask that they all be sent at one time...simply too much trouble to send individually. Please e-mail if you are interested.
