I just joined and trying to use the Caption Maker but all the patterns I try and download are not in PDF, they are downloading in a pl file type, that I have never heard of. The regular alphabet page downloaded in the PDF format. What do I need to do, I am trying to get something ready for my sons wedding. -- Sandra from Idaho

- Hi Sandra, you can choose either 'Open in Browser' or 'Save to File', and then once you click the 'Create my pattern' button the PDF file will open (or save). I don't see anywhere to download a .pl file, unless maybe you're missing a step? -- Marv Schier from Crosstitch.com -- Feb 08

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
In the case of Crosstitch.com patterns, which are by subscription, all patterns are for the members personal use only and may not be given away or re-distibuted in any manner.
