Please be careful when you are posting free patterns and magazines. Too many of your freebies show up on EBAY for sale. Some folks change their names and email addresses to get these freebies. Sometimes it makes sense to donate these things to Goodwill or hospital thrift stores. -- Pauline from Barnegat, NJ

- I see your point but honestly, once they are given away it is up to the recipient to do as she or he pleases. Once an item is given away, the giver has no say-so in what happens to it after that. Just my opinion! -- Joan from -- Jan 03
- Yes, I am quite aware of that. There are folks on this board who constantly reply to someone offering freebies. I know because I almost got caught up in one. It was someone who was using several names but the same Email address on two different message board sites. That's just not being honest! I would much rather gift to a non profit. -- Pauline Wallace from Barnegat, NJ -- Jan 03
- I rather buy it than see it in the trash. At least somebody want it for something. -- Esther from RI from -- Jan 03
- I see your point. I agree, using two names to get stuff is pretty lowlife in my opinion. Esther, don't PRESUME the items will end up in the trash. -- Joan from -- Jan 04
- I'm with Pauline. Once the OP gets rid of the item the buyer or recipient can do with it what she wants. If the OP wanted money for the item, she could have sold it to someone or put it on eBay. What is so different from that or finding a treasure at a yard sale and reselling it? -- Ann from S MS -- Jan 03
- I was always against these anyway and don't have a enlarger -- elainecripe yahoo.com from camden -- Jan 03
- To each his own. But honesty is still the best policy. The non profits I mean are those like Habitat, Goodwill, hospital thrift stores. -- pauline from Barnegat, NJYup Tabby.... El -- Jan 03
- I rather see the books on EBAY than to see it in the trash There is a lot of informationS that suit nowadays more than the new books or magazines -- esther from ri from -- Jan 05
- Esther, WHERE do you get the idea, once again, that they will be trashed? I see noting in the original post or any other implying that. Sheesh! -- Joan from -- Jan 05
- The thrift stores or non-profits will sell the kits that you donate so they may end up on eBay anyway. Best policy is always to be honest and not obtain things by unethical standards such as multiple names and such. Last thing is I do sell craft kits on Ebay that I pick up at garage sales, thrift stores etc. The money I made last year from eBay I was able to partially pay for adding a shower in our downstairs bathroom for those days/nights my husband can't make it upsairs to bathe due to undergoing chemo. It has made his life easier and I'm thankful for that. -- Sarah from Bulverde -- Jan 12
- There is a difference between purchasing at garage sales, flea markets or on Ebay. You are paying for them and selling them at a profit. Thrift stores and non profits still make some money from the donations. You are not accepting someone else's generosity for your personal profit. -- Pauline Wallace from Barnegat, NJYup Tabby.... - I agree with Pauline. I was scammed when I offered some free books up. Most of the returns were from Kentucky just more than willing to pay me for the freebies. I got nothing, but they will have to live with it. -- Mary from Ohio -- Feb 08
