    • I am looking for a Gold Collections cross stitch kit that has a boy and ducks and a chicken standing inside what I think is a barn door. I saw it at Hobby Lobby yesterday and was trying to decide. My friend asked me to look at something and we left without me thinking of it. I am wanting to buy it but I don't remember the name. I think it was barnyard friends but I can't find it anywhere. Any help is appreciated. Thank you I Advance

    • Ladies I need your help. I had a gorgeous kit given to me and when I opened it there are 2 hanks of threads missing so here is the info I have. I called the company but no help sadly they want proof of purchase regardless so please help me if you can. The kit is from Herrschners, its called " Pink Floral Table Topper". All I want to know is what kind of threads does it call for so I can purchase the 2 missing colors which are 103 Pale Yellow and 644 Beige. I do not know if its DMC or what brand but if I could just find out the thread type. I will add its not the basic embroidery threads like you would do cross stitching. Thanks

    • Hi everyone! New cross stitcher; only finished 4 projects so far. I'm looking for advice about FRAMES/HOOPS. I purchased a scroll frame from my local craft store and it seems pretty much useless; the fabric keeps slipping out. I've been looking for a Q Snap frame that I can buy in person so if I don't like it, I can return it in person, but no luck so far. I'm hesitant to purchase online when I know hardly anything about them. What do you all think about Q SNAP FRAMES?

    • I love to cross stitch but it is hard to see the details of the work. I was considering a few options for this. Purchasing the big vision glasses, buying the Mag Eyes head visor or using a clip on magnifier that you clip on to your needlework frame. I don't really know what I should get. Has anyone used any of these items? If so, which would you recommend and why do you like it?

    • I love to do cross stitch, but it is hard for me to see the fabric holes. I was considering either getting a magnifier that you clip on to your frame or the MagEyes that you wear like a visor so I can see the stitching better. Has anyone ever used any of these items, do you like them and what do you like about them? What do you recommend that I use? Also considered using readers that you can buy at a $ store, but not sure of what strength to get. I am using a 3.0 right now to work on the computer and they are o.k. Should I get maybe a 3.5?

    • Good Morning Everyone, this is my first time ever posting a comment, but i just had to say how much I lOVE this site. I have been doing cross stitch for many years now, and totally enjoy doing all type of projects. I came across this site yesterday, and will never buy another project anywhere else. The patterns are true to your word, ie size, easy to hard discriptions, the patterns are so easy to read. Will be telling everyone about your wonderful site. Thank You.

    • I would like to get a Daylight magnifier that you attach to your scroll frame for seeing the details of your needlework better. I have seen on the Internet different types but the lens is only 3 to 4 inches in diameter. I would like to get one that has a bigger diameter of 5 to 7 inches. Does anyone know if they even make one of these and if so where can I get one?

    • I am looking for a cross stitch pattern. It has three trees on it and the center one, for sure, is done in a specialty stitch of some kind. They are all stitched in the same color. In the background, the words "Christmas Tree" are stitched. The words repeat and each row (possibly 4-5) are staggered. They are stitched in ivory or ecru or something similar. Thanks!

    • Please be careful when you are posting free patterns and magazines. Too many of your freebies show up on EBAY for sale. Some folks change their names and email addresses to get these freebies. Sometimes it makes sense to donate these things to Goodwill or hospital thrift stores.

    • I have not cross stitched in several years. Found a pattern that I wanted to do. Was not paying attention to the size and started going the wrong way. Not too much done, do I try to take out what I have already done. Or do I get a new pc of cloth and start over.Would like to know what you would do.

    • I am currently doing a cross stitch project (a cow) that is 3-1/2 inches in a round frame on 18ct. Aida cloth. I'm having trouble seeing the small squares. I would like to redo it on 14ct. Aida cloth. Can I do that? If so, I'm not sure on how to figure out what size of cloth to cut. I have a stitch converter wheel. It says to count the total number of stitches in the piece. Most of the stitches are back spaces with no stitches in them. Do I count these back space areas as stitches? How big should I make the piece of fabric?

    • I am looking for some cross stitch patterns that were on a blog called The Useful Needle. I pinned some of the projects but, when I went to get the patterns, there was nothing there. The one I want the most is of a snowman (just his head) with a long stocking cap. There is an alphabet and snowflakes too. Thanks!
