Hey everyone, I'm making a little quilt for my soon-to-be-born niece, and it's one of those pre-finished, pre-stamped pattern kits. I've done a pre-stamped pattern before, and I'm worried it ends up looking uneven and bunching a bit. Any tips for avoiding that? -- Ligia from Virginia

- There's no substitute for using a hoop or those Q-things for avoiding bunching. I couldn't work without one. Good luck. -- Bonnie from Washington -- Apr 20
- I agree with Bonnie. Use a spring tension hoop, the 5" one is best. Sometimes, those prestamped designs are not always uniform. You might have to correct some of the stamped X's. I have found that even though the ink is permanent, it is your stitching that shows in the end, and if the stamp is crooked, so will your stitching be. -- Juliana from Guatemala -- Jun 08

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
In the case of Crosstitch.com patterns, which are by subscription, all patterns are for the members personal use only and may not be given away or re-distibuted in any manner.
