I have a chart that I would like to cross stitch but don't know how much aida fabric to cut. The stitch count is 157 x 196 or the size of 11.21 x 14.00 inches. How many inches on each side do I need and what size frame should I use? -- Linda Delcamp from Brighton Mi

- Hi Linda, the rule of thumb is to add about 6" so you have 3" margin on all sides (18"x20"). It doesn't hurt to have even more since you can always cut if off later. A standard frame size for an 11x14 picture is 16x20. -- Marv Schier from Crosstitch.com -- Nov 03

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
In the case of Crosstitch.com patterns, which are by subscription, all patterns are for the members personal use only and may not be given away or re-distibuted in any manner.
