I was wanting to add names and a wedding date on my piece.I have cross stitched the picture and now I am trying to figure out how to get the names on there. Should I just back stitch them on or trace the names with a marker and cover it up with the thread? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! -- Joanne Lipkind from Germantown, Maryland

- Don't use a marker. You can graph the names and then stitch using backstitch or cross stitch. This site has various fonts. -- Pauline from Barnegat, NJ -- Aug 25
- OMG!! NEVER PUT MARKER ON FABRIC, YOU CAN **NEVER** COVER IT UP!!! -- Kate from -- Aug 25
- Hi Joanne, I would draw the lettering on the pattern, or onto blank graph paper, or just use our online 'Caption Maker' tool to chart out the text for you. -- Marv from Crosstitch.com -- Aug 26

About Copyrights:
Copyright patterns may not be copied and given to someone else. It's against the law and it's dishonest. On the Internet, one copy can quickly turn into one million which basically takes away the need for people to buy the patterns, which puts the designers out of business. You can give away, trade, or sell the original leaflet though.
