"I have been stitching your pattern of the collie. Today when my 9 year old granddaughter was here I saw her pick up my stitching frame, and hold it on her lap looking at it for the longest time. Then I saw her reach out and gently stroke the picture. I asked her what she was doing. She said 'oh Grandma, this is the most beautiful thing you have ever stitched. You made it look so real that I felt like I had to pet it.' I told her that I couldn't take credit for that as all I did was follow the pattern.
